Hello all. I was going to reply about scenarios but you have beaten me to it . Yes, in U.K. we ( incorrectly) say one scenario and two scenarios.

As for "attorney" this is an American word not used in U.K. In U.K. we say lawyer. We also should correctly call a lawyer who speaks in court " a barrister " .

This word is pronounced in a very similar fashion for another foreign word we now use " barista" . This is a person who serves behind a counter in a coffee shop and has been given this fancy name because she/he knows how to make all the different cups of coffee you can get nowadays. JohnB.

You are quite right . In the title something is missing as there should be something after the word " and " .

I was wondering if you can receive "Pointless " on your television . This is a long running, every weekday about five o'clock, BBC TV quiz programme. It starts with four teams of two people who have to answer questions previously asked to one hundred people. The idea is to give a correct answer but preferably one only a few people gave. If 80 people gave the same correct answer as the contestants then this gets 80 points and is therefore a bad score . If only ten people had given the same answer then this is worth ten points and therefore a good score. To get to the final you must get the lowest number of points . In the final to win the prize money ( about £ 2,000 pounds as the BBC cannot afford more ! ) you must give a correct answer that no-one else has given - hence no points -and thus a winning Pointless answer.
