Sigmund Freud

Freud was the first to say that unsolved problems in the past are responsible for mental ill health. He insisted on remembering in order to forget and then feel better. Freud tried many things to make people remember. For instance he tried hypnosis but it was not reliable. He then had another idea. The patient would lie down on a sofa and he would ask questions
