Hi Gérard !
I read this article with interest. I found these five reasons really well thought, especially when this teacher reports the learners' lack of accountability :" I didn't have time to practice" should be " I didn't make it a priority". Also " the teacher isn't a magician with a special potion, he can only hold the learner's hand along the process". ...

Right Guilaine, Thanks for your message.
People are often in a back-to-their-youth position where they still consider themselves as students/pupils whereas it's their own decision: they should be active and just assisted, helped, advised by the teacher.
