Hi everyone,

Here's a quiz by GoToQuiz.

-> What American accent do you have?

I don't know about GoToQuiz.
There're lots of organizations on the Internet that publish nice and entertaining games, quiz or articles in order to collect email addresses and send ads.

I would like to know what's behind the questions so that I will know about the differences in pronouncing the words of the questions.
but...
I will give a temp email addy to avoid spam that would pollute my email box.

I may be completely wrong.

If you trust GoToQuiz, you'll find heaps of quizzes:
- (US Quizzezs) http://www.gotoquiz.com/cat/united-states.html
- (home page) http://www.gotoquiz.com/quizindex.html

~~

As we're at it, you can notice the American form "What American accent do you have?" while the Brits would prefer "What American accent have you?" (at least when I was younger).
- "To have" is well an auxiliary in American grammar e.g. in the present perfect "I've seen the Eiffel tower" or ""She's been learning English for ages" but except this, it's not a special verb. American language prefers "do you have", "don't have" to "have you", "haven't"
- by the way, American language definitely prefers past to present perfect: "I saw" to "I've seen"
